I was horrified... no, that's not a strong enough word for what I'm thinking and sensing about this situation and what I've witnessed. I was temporarily on this Protestant Evangelical Christian preacher's Patreon and he had another Evangelical preacher on the video as a guest. These two men were claiming that witches were attacking them and went on to elaborate on exactly what they would like to do to them which included torturing them in their garages! I know it sounds like a lot and a little crazy, which it is, I know, but it happened. The preacher who owned the Patreon has made many accusations against Witches and Wiccans publicly on his YouTube channel as well, claiming attacks and curses and such. He threatened them with "God's wrath" and while the Witches and Wiccans that I've told about these antics dismiss them as not dangerous or not important, I beg to differ. They seem to think that the horrible things of history can't happen again, especially in this day and time. Laws against it and such, they cited. People break laws and get away with it all of the time. I'm telling you, the ways that they described and what they planned to do and how, it is possible in today's society to do it and possibly get away with it! I'm telling you that there's a real and present danger still out there for us! Not only that but I feel it in my bones. I'm a pretty powerful sensitive and I can feel it still in the air after all these years. It can and might happen again.
I live directly on the earth's Crystalline Grid. This sangria goes directly through Salem Massachusetts and the rest of the places where the witch hysteria and which trials took place. I believe it through that grid I'm connected to those energies since I can sense it very well and strongly.
Still not convinced? Think back to the "Satanic Panic" in the 1980s. The ideas behind the Witch Hysteria are still very real and very present in society and the time of the Satanic Panic shows that clearly. When I say "Hysteria" I don't mean some of the modern connotations of the word. I mean the actual, very real extreme panic that caused thousands of horrific murders of Innocents through Europe and the United States. Other parts of the world were not immune to it, either. Today there are still real witch trials carried out in other countries. Witchcraft is still illegal in some places, to spite the claims of "enlightenment" in today's society. We're deluding ourselves in thinking that it can't or won't happen again today. All of these modern reasons why it won't happen again fall apart at the seams when examined with the lense of truth. Yes, dears, it can happen again.
I'm not trying to scare anyone. As with everything else I'm trying to inform people and be transparent about it. Just know that as you read through my blog. I'm also not trying to put anyone or their beliefs down. I've had that done to me too many times and I know how it feels.
I'm not going to put out a blog post like this without offering what I think are some good solutions to this. So, in my opinion, this is what we can do about it. We have to stop it from happening again! Hundreds of years is already too much!
Whenever we hear these incorrect and insinuating ideas and opinions, we educate and respond with factual information and not condemnation. Don't give them what they're giving us. Be polite and kind. We keep our eyes open for this kind of content online as well and respond in the same manner. We can be activists for better understanding and knowledge. However, we must educate ourselves in order to properly educate others. We can also create websites and blogs, YouTube channels and such, to combat this incorrect information and spread the truth. Writing books is not for everyone but we can also write books to educate others. Simple and factual social media comments can also go a long way in spreading truth.
Be a good keeper of knowledge. Be educated and informed. Go a little out of your way to spread the truth. Practice The Craft wisely and safely. Be your own good steward. Set a good example for others and let them see what you were all about. If you're in the closet, that's okay too! You can still post anonymously online or follow some of this other advice to get the truth out and the real information out.
As Wiccans and Witches we are called to be informed, educated, and fully responsible for ourselves and our own actions and thoughts. We must keep this in mind when we are trying to educate and inform others.
Keep it light and keep it positive. This kind of response goes a long way and can be planted very deep in this manner.
You can say something like, "Excuse me, (Mister or Miss), I do hear what you're saying, however, __________." And then add whatever information you have that you know is factual.
